Our LW16-40.5 series outdoor SF6 circuit breakers are designed for control and protection in 35kV power systems, serving as an ideal oil-free replacement for SW2-35 minimum-oil and bulk-oil circuit breakers.

• Rated voltage of 40.5kV with rated current options at 1600A and 2000A; rated short-circuit breaking current up to 31.5kA with short-circuit making current up to 63kA.

• Equipped with built-in current transformers for measurement and protection; suitable for frequent operations, tie applications, and switching capacitor banks and reactor banks.

• Mechanical endurance of 3000 operations with rated short-circuit breaking operations of 21 times; cumulative breaking operations at rated current up to 2000 times.

• Capacitor bank breaking current up to 400A; rated out-of-phase breaking current of 6.3kA; operating duty of O-0.3s-CO-180s-CO.

• Designed for harsh environments with altitude up to 3000m, temperature from -25°C to +40°C, and pollution level Class IV with creepage distance >1255mm.

• When fitted with filtering bracket, can replace various models of bulk-oil circuit breakers for flexible retrofit applications.

Product Overview

The LW16-40.5 side-mounted and center-mounted circuit breaker is designed for outdoor installation in three-phase AC 50Hz power systems, serving industrial plants, power plants, and substations for control and protection purposes. This product is suitable for frequent operations and can be used as a tie circuit breaker or for switching capacitor banks and reactor banks. Equipped with built-in current transformers for measurement and protection, it can directly replace the SW2-35 type minimum-oil circuit breaker. When fitted with a filtering bracket, it can also replace various models of bulk-oil circuit breakers. It serves as an ideal oil-free circuit breaker solution for 35kV power systems.
