• Rated voltage of 40.5kV with rated current of 1600A; rated short-circuit breaking current up to 40kA for robust fault interruption.

• Puffer-type arc-extinguishing chamber delivers long electrical lifespan, capable of interrupting 40kA short-circuit currents continuously for 21 times without maintenance or SF6 gas replacement.

• Mechanical endurance exceeding 3,000 operations, suitable for frequent switching applications.

• Each unit accommodates up to 12 built-in current transformers for flexible configuration; equipped with MKZ-type SF6 pointer density gauge unaffected by temperature changes for convenient monitoring.

• Capacitor bank breaking current up to 400A; rated out-of-phase breaking current of 10kA; operating duty of O-0.3s-CO-180s-CO.

• Opening time of 55-65ms and closing time of 60-100ms for reliable fault clearing.

Product Overview

The product features excellent breaking performance, utilizing a puffer-type arc-extinguishing chamber with a long electrical lifespan. It can interrupt 40kA short-circuit currents continuously for 21 times at rated voltage without maintenance or replacement of SF₆ gas. With high mechanical reliability and a mechanical lifespan exceeding 3,000 operations, it is suitable for frequent switching operations. Each unit can accommodate up to 12 current transformers for user selection. The product is equipped with a new MKZ-type SF₆ pointer density gauge, where the pressure reading is unaffected by temperature changes, ensuring ease of use.

The LW34-40.5 SF₆ circuit breaker is a three-phase, 50Hz outdoor high-voltage electrical device designed for control and protection in 40.5kV transmission and distribution systems. It can also serve as a tie breaker or for switching capacitor banks.

This product is equipped with a CT14 spring operating mechanism.
