Product Overview
The LW36-40.5 outdoor high-voltage SF₆ circuit breaker is a three-phase AC 50Hz outdoor high-voltage electrical apparatus, suitable for control and protection in 40.5kV power transmission and distribution systems. It can also be used as a tie circuit breaker or for switching capacitor banks. Current transformers can be installed internally for measurement and protection purposes. The TEP LW36-40.5 circuit breaker is equipped with a CT14 spring operating mechanism. The circuit breaker complies with the national standard GB1984-1989 AC High-Voltage Circuit Breakers and the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC 60056:1987 High-Voltage Alternating-Current Circuit-Breakers. Key features of the circuit breaker include: excellent breaking performance with a puffer-type arc-extinguishing chamber, short arcing time, long electrical lifespan, capable of 20 consecutive interruptions at 25 kA under rated voltage without maintenance or SF₆ gas replacement; reliable insulation, withstands 40.5 kV for 10 minutes at zero gauge pressure; high mechanical reliability, strong closing capability, suitable for frequent operation; switching of capacitor bank current up to 400 A without reignition; no reignition when switching unloaded long lines of 25 km and 50 km; simple structure, compact size, and long maintenance-free intervals.

1. Altitude: ≤ 2,500 m (high-altitude version: 4,000 m);
2. Ambient Temperature: –30 °C to +40 °C (special requirement: –40 °C to +40 °C);
3. Relative Humidity: Daily average ≤ 95%, monthly average ≤ 90% (at 25 °C);
4. Wind Speed: ≤ 35 m/s;
5. Pollution Level: Class II; Creepage distance of porcelain housing: 1,050 mm (1,320 mm) (nominal specific creepage distance ≥ 25 mm/kV);
6. Solar Radiation: 0.1 W/cm²;
7. Ice Coating: 10 mm (maximum);
8. Seismic Conditions: Vertical acceleration 0.3 g; Horizontal acceleration 0.15 g (maximum). Installations shall be free from flammable substances, explosion hazards, chemical corrosion, and severe vibration.
