Our LW-40.5 series outdoor high-voltage SF6 circuit breakers are three-pole outdoor switchgear solutions for control and protection in 35kV power systems, suitable for tie applications and capacitor bank switching.

• Rated voltage of 40.5kV with insulation levels of 185kV/215kV lightning impulse withstand and 95kV/119kV power frequency withstand for superior dielectric strength.

• Rated current options at 1600A and 3150A; rated breaking current up to 31.5kA with peak withstand current up to 80kA for robust fault interruption.

• Excellent breaking performance with short arcing time and long electrical lifespan; capable of 16 interruptions at 100% rated short-circuit breaking current without maintenance or SF6 gas replacement.

• Capacitor bank switching up to 400A without reignition; no reignition when switching unloaded long lines up to 50km.

• Equipped with CT35 spring operating mechanism offering high reliability, strong closing capability, and suitability for frequent operations.

• Mechanical life of 5000 operations with SF6 gas leakage rate ≤1% per year for long-term reliability.

The LW-40.5 outdoor high-voltage SF₆ circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breaker) is a three-pole AC 50Hz outdoor high-voltage switchgear, suitable for control and protection in 35kV power systems. It can also be used as a tie circuit breaker or for switching capacitor banks.

The circuit breaker complies with the national standard GB 1984 AC High-Voltage Circuit Breakers and the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC 56 High-Voltage Alternating-Current Circuit-Breakers.
